As a lifelong New Yorker(okay, New Jersey, but close enough!), I find food to be very important, especially bagels and pizza. I found it incredibly hard to find a decent slice of pizza or a bagel.
The best place I found for a slice of pizza was actually the Washington Deli on 19th or 20th street and maybe M. Pretty good pizza and not expensive at all. They also have Barq's rootbeer, so thats a definite plus.
As for a bagels, the best place is definitely K Street Bagel on, you guessed it, K Street. I think its between 22nd and 23rd. They have amazing turkey that they slice fresh for you when you order it. Also, their Tuna is to die for, and they stack it soo high.
I highly recomment these 2 places. Anyone else know of other places to get a bagel or pizza? Or other hidden gems for good food.
Go for K Street Bagels!
I completely agree. K Street bagels has the best bagels in DC, hands down.
K STreet
K STREET Bagel rocks my world. Everything is so fresh and the coldcuts are legit, and they have nice big portions for when you are super hungover and need to pound food to the face. Just an FYI, they're not open on Sundays :(
Listen Hippo...
I don't know what kind of bagels they have down at the Potomac, but if you're talking about the best bagel in DC. It's K Street. Best place to get a delicious breakfast sandwich, GW Deli.
And no, K Street does not take GWorld. At least not when I graduated.
What are you smokin'?
I highly doubt K Street is better than GW Deli. GWD has convenience and the right ratio of cost:amount of extra cold cut on your sandwich! Does K St take Gworld?
