This place is fantastic! I can’t put it any simpler. If you’re an upper classman with an ID you should be at Brick Skellers if you’re looking to relax after an exam with some drinks. There are literally thousands of beers to choose from and they’re imported from all over the world.
Bar Crawl. St. Patrick’s Day. Not crowded. Excellent music.
At this point in the bar crawl I was pretty drunk, but it wasn’t as crazy as the other bars. In my book that’s always plus and they had great throwbacks from the 80s and early 90s playing.
Nice, good looking women. The hangover was nice too…
Good bar atmosphere. Favorite night – Tuesday – cheap beer night
Always packed with a lot of GW student (Georgetown U too?). Really close to campus, a block up from City Hall. If ya don’t mind getting there a lot earlier than usual you can score a nice spot on the upper level or even a table on the lower.
If you plan on going to this place with a group of friends make sure EVERYONE IS 21 AND UP. They’re pretty strict with IDs, I don’t care how flawless your fake is. Aside from that, it has good food, darts, and plenty of pool table. If you’re hangin’ out with the guys looking to kick back it’s cool. Hard to pick up anyone women though, it’s an older crowd. You’re gonna be cabbin’ it there most likely, can’t remember the closest Metro and it’s a bitch of a walk.
This is a great bar on 18th and Conn. It's a really cool, unique scene- with several floors with different bars, cool lighting and different music on every level- house, hip-hop, reggae. The top level also has a roofdeck that usually has a reggae band come and play every wednesday in the summers. It's not overly infested with GW scene and is a great place to go with friends. Highly recommended!
Nick's is on the Georgetown Waterfront and is one of the best outdoor bars in the city! It has amazing views of the Kennedy Center and the Watergate hotel and is always a good time. The bartenders are a lot of fun and the waitresses are all really cute :)
I used to go to this bar all the time with friends. It's a pretty quiet place with lots of things on tap and are relatively cheap. They actually began to know me and my group of friends. they would know our drink orders and actually came up to my two friends to tell them they were out of cider one night, even before we ordered. Every Wednesday they have a trivia night and half priced fish and chips, so my friends and I would go a lot on those Wednesdays.
Just went here for a friend’s 21st birthday. I really liked this place. It’s like a standard bar you’d find in Hoboken, NJ. The game was on television, the drinks didn’t break your wallet. My only problem was the location. We took a cab to get there, but I left by myself. There are a whole slew of bars on that street so I was competing with their patrons for a cab. It took me more than 20 minutes to hail a cab. It was kind of like that opening scene from Office Space.
