Gurski is one of the few English-speaking Math professors at GW. At times I think she has trouble conveying the ideas, but pay attention and ask questions if you find yourself struggling. The course material is not very difficult. If you’re intimidated by Math, but not a complete idiot you’ll do fine. She’s nice, approachable, and very helpful if you don’t find yourself falling behind.
Bailey likes graphs. He throws out a lot of material, but there aren’t many option for BADM066. The midterm will cover a lot and the final is cumulative. However, he does curve thereby negating the difficulty of each exam. Just make sure you do better than your classmates.
This class is for those of you looking for a “filler.” It’s the only journalism class I’ve taken at GW. I wonder if they’re all like this, I’d reconsider my major. It was cake (easy). I didn’t read the material once. I never really found it necessary and I was getting by by more than the skin of my teeth, if you know what I mean. On top of that, his lectures are fun and they’re accompanied by easy exams. For us ladies, he’s not to like at. I mean he’s like really good-looking compared to all my past professors.
When I signed up for this class I thought it would be easy, like the game – Albany, ok I’m stuck with a “y” kinda difficulty. It’s kind of not…like…that. It’s still not a bad class. Pretty intense and very technical but survivable. The good thing is attendance is really necessary, the course is very book-oriented.
If you are a psychology major Principles and Methods is a required course so you can't get out of taking it. Make sure to take it before senior year so if you fail you have time to retake it. It is a hard class and requires a lot of work that you are not going to want to do especially if you have senioritis. In addition there is a mandatory lab once a week that is 3 hours long. It is awful. Good luck!
Take Body Image with Professor Jackie Johnson! The class is so fun and she doesn't take attendance :)
Professor Johnson is an awesome teacher. There are a lot of class discussions and interaction so its hard to get bored. Her tests are fair. Try to take it with people you know so its more enjoyable.
So you say you wanna learn Finance…don’t take it with Wilson. He
graduated from U of Chicago, so he is very bright and really stresses
the "history of finance". He rambles, doesn’t explain well, and takes
attendance. He’s a nice guy if that counts for anything. Aside from
that, his quizzes aren’t hard, the papers/projects were cake, but the
final was intense. Get friends who know what they’re doing and complete
This may be the easiest class I have ever taken at GW. Its fun, the teachers are usually nice, and its a piece of cake.
Such a fun class to take! I took it with Mrs. Camponelli who is no longer there but it doesn't matter who you take it with. I recommend taking it with friends so you don't laugh at the material by yourself.
